Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Trustees for the Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District (the District) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the offices of Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District located at 1800 West 4700 South, Taylorsville, Utah 84129.

The District is planning to increase water and sewer rates by 3%. Also under consideration are increases to various administrative and development fees.  The reason for the proposed rates and fees is to cover increased costs associated with District maintenance and projects.

The District has also updated its Impact Fee Facility Plan and its Impact Fee Analysis in accordance with Utah’s Impact Fees Act.  The District is considering the adoption of this Plan and Analysis.  An update was also completed on the District’s Drought Contingency Plan, which includes a drought rate structure that will be considered for adoption.

This Notice is being given in satisfaction of requirements of UCA §§ 17B-1-111 & 643.  Written comments will be received and may be submitted to until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

The purpose of this hearing is to hear comments regarding the proposed rate and fee increases as well as the District’s Impact Fee Facility Plan and Impact Fee Analysis updates.  All interested persons shall be given the opportunity to be heard.  Written concerns are welcome and can be sent to P.O. Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District, a local district of the State of Utah, intends to amend an Impact Fee Facilities Plan and an Impact Fee Analysis. The plan and analysis will be prepared by two different independent 3rd parties and will be done pursuant to the provisions of the Impact Fees Act. The proposed impact fee facilities will be located in several different areas through the District’s boundaries. The General areas will cover from as far west and south as 6200 South and 3600 West to as far north and east of 3900 South and the Jordan River. Capacity enhancing projects that are currently under construction at Central Valley Water Reclamation Facility will also be considered.

Interested parties are invited to provide information to be considered in adopting the Impact Fee Facilities Plan or the Impact Fee Analysis. Notice of Cancellation of the

2021 Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District Trustee Election

In accordance with section 17B-1-306 the Board of Trustees has approved the cancellation of the local election for 2021.  The number of District Offices candidates, including any eligible write-in candidates under Section 20A-9-601, does not exceed the number of open District offices for which the candidates have filed and each District Officer candidate, including any eligible write-in candidates in each division of the District is unopposed.
